Oaklandish, at Jack London Square, is now selling copies of Leisure.
Not to worry technophiles, you can still buy it online.
Also, if there is an enormous popular uprising, we might start selling it at Catos again.
Writer/Director Chris Horvath was named 2004 Best Local Filmmaker by the East Bay Express.
And, as the Express itself mentions, there are 2.3 million people in the East Bay. So many people, in fact, that if it were one city, it would be the fourth largest city in the country.
Now you can have your very own DVD copy of the movie that took the three blocks between Peets and Catos on Piedmont Avenue by storm!
And it's damn cheap too! Only $15! C'mon, what's that? That's like 4 beers in a bar, or 60 video games in the early 80's.
There are two different ways to buy the DVD.
One, you can click on any of the links here and buy it from the online DVD store CustomFlix.
Or, if you are too technically challenged to perform that task, you can buy one from Catos.
Leisure had a couple of cool shows at Jupiter Bar in the fall. For the lucky few that could hear it, it went well.
In February and March we had two wonderful sold-out shows of Leisure at the Parkway Theater in Oakland.
Here's a couple pics of the show: Pic 1, Pic 2
Thanks to everyone who showed up for local indie cinema, we really appreciate your support.
The Montclarion, the local rag, has written a cool little article about writer/director Chris Horvath.
If you check out a print copy, instead of the online version, you can see the fresh pic of Chris in action delivering pizzas.
Kelly Vance (film critic at the East Bay Express) dropped some nice lines about Leisure in his Aisle Seat column.
Check it out.
